An eepworm toy to help comfort children and a story to introduce it

by Corinne Goyette

Young children often have strong feelings that may be hard for them to handle alone.  Eepworm® toys can help!
In this story, an eepworm wants to be a caring friend to help children throughout their day.  He shows what he can do to soothe them, no matter how they feel.
This book delightfully demonstrates how an eepworm® toy can provide companionship, comfort, and calming. Children will enjoy hearing the story and having an eepworm® toy of their very own!

Featured praise for My Friend EEPWORM:

“Corinne’s vision of supporting children with their big emotions is realized in this beautifully illustrated children’s book. Children who have a difficult time managing their emotions often feel alone, misunderstood, different, out of sorts or isolated. Corinne’s eepworm® toys help these children feel safe by assuring them that they have someone (or something!) that will stick with them through thick and thin. What a comfort to little souls in distress!”
— Dr. Becky Bailey, Founder of Conscious Discipline

“It seems like the book speaks to you. As a child psychologist, I feel this book is so relevant to all children who I work with who have their own anxieties. It is a book that empowers one to look for ways to conquer their fears, anxieties and the very many irrational thoughts that can sometimes overpower the young minds. I must add that the book is as much relevant for adults as it is for children. It gives adults the courage to find their own way to deal with their challenges. At least that is what it did to me.  It touches your heart.  I would definitely recommend it for everybody out there.”

by Corinne Goyette

The second book in the eepworm® book series tells the story of Yellow Eepworm’s up-and-down day.
With simple rhyming text and beautiful watercolor illustrations, this book delightfully demonstrates how children can experience many different feelings in a day and how challenging some of them can be.  Children will relate to Yellow Eepworm’s many different feelings in the story and learn a valuable lesson about handling one of them.

Featured praise for EEPWORM’s Emotional Day:

“What a lovely find this was! The story is simple and sweet. It was a wonderful way to open up a conversation with my daughter, who also has difficulty with the size and scope of her emotions when it comes time for the fun to end. We used her eepworm® toy to talk about her feelings and how they can feel overwhelming, and to demonstrate how easy it is to lash out when we don’t know what else to do. It led to an interesting conversation - I doubt all of our challenges with ending playdates and big emotions are resolved, obviously, but it was a great start!”
- Jill Franclemont, Reviewer & Blogger

“I can honestly say the book is good for several reasons:  The content is based on social/emotional learning - very much needed these days, even before COVID-19.  The beginning page, For Parents and Teachers is excellent - Emotions vocabulary is very much needed and nicely presented.  Illustrations are excellent - Colors are connected to emotions and are calm colors.  Rhyming lends to building a dialogue about rhyming and facilitates phonemic awareness.  The story ends with forgiveness...that can be built upon as well.”
